P2/3 had great fun painting this afternoon. We started talking about our new topic ‘Bankhead has a Big Birthday’ and learned that our school will be 90 years old this year. We will be looking at how holidays and food were different in 1935 compared to the present day, in the coming weeks. The children learned that people used to visit seaside towns as a holiday destination in the past and they then started to create their own beach collages this afternoon.
There was lots of great concentration going on!
