Hi Room 6,
Welcome to our first day of home-learning in 2021. I hope you are all well and raring to go after your extra-long Christmas break from school. Last week was a real wintery week, so I hope you were able to have some bonus chilly, outdoor fun!
By now, you should have all received a Password Grid, with all the usernames and passwords you will need to access the different websites we use in school. This was emailed to you and also posted in our Google Classroom, so hopefully, you should be able to find it quickly when you need it.
Mrs Baird and I will upload Literacy and Numeracy tasks for your groups, every day, just like we would do in class. We will also share some daily Health & Wellbeing activities, and activities from other curricular areas regularly. You will find the weekly grid attached with this message, so you can see what we’ll be covering throughout the week, and all of your activities and resources will be uploaded under the Classwork tab each day. Please let us know if there is anything confusing you.
For Literacy and Numeracy you can choose to print out your worksheets, if you prefer to work that way, or you can complete the work in your homework jotters. There is no right or wrong way, this is flexible and we are happy for you to work in a way that suits you and your family. If you require a new jotter please let us know and will try to arrange that for you.
Just like your homework, we would love you to share some of your completed tasks with us, by taking photos and uploading them, or scanning your work and emailing it to us.
However, if for any reason you can’t do this, then please don’t worry, this is not a strict instruction, just a request. Those of you who are working in school might find this difficult to do, but this is not your fault so don’t worry about this.
I will be here until 3pm, ready to help with any questions or problems you may have. I’d love to say hi to those of you who have logged on, at home or in school, so make sure you say hello in Google Classroom!
Have a good day, Room 6!
Stay warm, stay active, stay positive!
