Welcome To Our School

A very warm welcome to Bankhead Primary School and Nursery Class Website. We hope this will give you an insight into our wonderful school and nursery. We enjoy working together and in partnership with parents and carers to ensure all our children are safe, happy and achieving.

We aim to provide a learning environment where all children are supported and challenged to reach their full potential. We value inclusion and celebrate diversity - our children are at the heart of everything we do.

Room 1 Week Beginning 17-11-25

Good Morning,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.

This week in Literacy we are introducing the sounds 'g' and 'o'.  A double sided written formation sheet will be sent home today in book bags.  Please complete this by Friday and continue to use your sounds and words flashcards at home.

In Numeracy we are working on addition stories within 10.  An addition worksheet is also coming home in book bags today.  Apologies for the quality of the copy we are having printer problems.

This week we are beginning our Nativity rehearsals.  All pupils will be involved in the singing and some have parts on stage too.  Due to rehearsals the gym hall is not available so we will try to do our PE outdoors if possible.

On Thursday it is Bankie Bargains.  Please send any money in an envelope, purse or wallet to try to ensure money does not get lost.

We hope you can join us in class on Monday the 24th of November at 2pm to work with your child on Literacy tasks linked to their Book Bug Bags which will be issued that day.

If you have not yet returned the Christmas Lunch return slip please can you do this as soon as possible.

H&W Survey

SLC's Psychological Services are conducting a Health and Wellbeing survey with Primaries 5-7 this month. Permission slips for this survey have been issued to parents and carers of P5-7 children on Parents Portal. The survey will be carried out in the next few weeks. If you are happy for your child to participate in the survey, please log into Parents Portal and sign the permission slip. If you are still unable to access Parents Portal please contact the school office as soon as possible. Paper copies of the survey permissions are also available.
