Welcome To Our School

A very warm welcome to Bankhead Primary School and Nursery Class Website. We hope this will give you an insight into our wonderful school and nursery. We enjoy working together and in partnership with parents and carers to ensure all our children are safe, happy and achieving.

We aim to provide a learning environment where all children are supported and challenged to reach their full potential. We value inclusion and celebrate diversity - our children are at the heart of everything we do.

P7b Christmas Outfit Reminder

Hi, 

For the P4-7 Christmas Show 'Snowcase' Room 11 are encouraged to wear something festive for the performances. A Christmas jumper, dress, tinsel, Santa Hat etc should be brought into school as soon as possible please labelled in a bag.

Nativity and Christmas Show Tickets

Hi,

The P7 Tickets Team have completed the front row raffle draw and winners will be notified by letter tomorrow.

If you still require tickets for the shows, you can now purchase these from the school office.

Room 1 Week Beginning 8-12-25

Good afternoon, 
I hope you had a lovely weekend.

As you know, there is no formal homework this week but please keep using your word and sounds flashcards at home.

Tomorrow is the Christmas Lunch in school.  If you did not order anything for your child please provide them with a packed lunch from home.

If you have not yet handed in clothes for the show please can you do this as soon as possible.  Letters were issued with more detailed information.

If you would still like to buy tickets for the show please send in the money along with the order form specifying the number of tickets and for which performance.

If you have sent in stamp money this was due to be collected today and stamps issued however this will not be possible.  I have gathered in any orders and stamps will be issued as soon as I receive them.

Christmas Show Outfits Primary 4


Dear All, 
Can all children please bring in their costume for the Christmas Show no later than Wednesday 10th December. Please put all items in a plastic bag and I will put their names on the bag and keep them in class. All Items will be returned on Friday after the show. 
Costumes can be a sparkly top or plain t-shirt (logos are not permitted), Christmas Jumper and Reindeer Antlers or a small headband. Tinsel can also be worn like a scarf.
The children have been working so hard on their performance and are looking forward to showing it for you all!

Christmas Showcase

Hello everyone, 

For our school showcase next week it would be great if everyone could bring in a christmas top or jumper for our performance.
If you could please bring them in tomorrow 5/12/25 or Monday 8/12/25 this would be great as we need to stick a colour onto the back of them for our performance.
Alternatively if you don't have a christmas jumper you could wear a jumper/top based on the colour your child has for their song. They will be able to tell you this.

Bankie Bargains Reminder -This Thursday 04.12.25

Hi,

Bankie Bargains is back this Thursday the 4th of December 2025.

We are selling a variety of treats from Maoams to pancakes to muffins and waffles. We also have pocket money items such as pencils and bouncy balls. Prices start at 5p and go up to £1.

There will be no formal homework this week, but I am sending home some work that will help your child to sound out, blend and read. Please see the letter in the homework folder for more details.  This will really help when we begin to send home reading books after the holidays.

On Thursday it is Bankie Bargains.  Please do not send in loose coins as they are easily lost or mixed up with other pupils.  Please put all coins in a purse, wallet or wee bag.

If you wish to buy show tickets, please return the order form and any money as soon as possible.  Letters were issued on Friday with all the dates and information.

Good Morning,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
There will be no formal homework this week but I am sending home more flashcards for you to use at home.  The next set of sounds are there along with 'satpin' letter cards and a word list which you can use together to make words.  This will really help when we begin to send home reading books after the holidays.

I have also attached links below for websites we use in class which you can also use to practice number and letter formations as well as games too.

Toy Stall

We have a number of items left over from our toy stall. These will be sold this week. All items will be priced £1 or less. 
If your child was unable to make it to the fayre or would like to grab a bargain, then they are welcome to visit the toy stall this week. Starting tomorrow, until sell out.

28th Nov Learning Lowdown

Dear All, 

Room 6 had a very successful week, earning our WOW treat and finishing our class novel. Next week we will switch our focus to rehearsals for our Christmas Concert. Forms to buy tickets have gone home with everyone today. In p4 we ask everyone to wear a Christmas jumper or top for the concert, this can be as simple as a coloured top. Children are welcome to wear santa hats, headbands or anything else they may wish to wear. 

If you are unsure, please just ask.
